Favored Private Jungle Wins at Santa Anita
Favored Private Jungle, ridden by Alex Solis, was left behind in the early going but moved into good position and ran past Stan’s Bower down the stretch to win the $32,000 feature race by a length Thursday at Santa Anita.
Private Jungle ran the 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:16 and paid $6, $3.40 and $3.20. Stan’s Bower,ridden by Sandy Hawley, paid $3.80 and $3.60, and Time For Silence, ridden by Patrick Valenzuela, returned $4.20 to show.
