Bank Robbed of $5,152: A robber escaped with $5,152 from the Bank of America, 3444 Via Lido Ave., at about 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, police said. The suspect was described as between 30 and 35 years old, about 6 feet tall, 150 to 170 pounds, with brown hair, a mustache and a five- or six-day growth of beard. He was wearing faded blue jeans and a red short-sleeve shirt, Police Lt. Doug Fletcher said. The robber indicated that he had a weapon, but none was seen. No one was injured, Fletcher said.
