Maybe the NFL Could Call on Ward Cleaver to Lecture on Conduct
I am extremely disappointed in Pete Rozelle, the players’ union and management for their mishandling and ignoring of the drug problem in professional football.
Following the various football games throughout the season, I felt, as a fan, that I deserved a great Super Bowl game. Now that it’s over, I wonder what I really watched. Did I watch a game or did I watch an episode where the players were high, running zombies, and guided by gutless management?
If I were involved in legalized gambling as in Nevada, I would wonder about point shaving. If I were in law enforcement, I would wonder who supplies the drugs. Could it be the Mafia, and its involvement in illegal gambling?
The public deserves an investigation. The game has been ruined.
