Creme Fraiche rallied from a half-length back...
Creme Fraiche rallied from a half-length back in fourth place at the top of the stretch to win the $133,300 Donn Handicap at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale, Fla., by two lengths over Skip Trial.
Creme Fraiche, winner of the Belmont Stakes and $893,221 in 1985, completed the mile and an eighth in 1:51 1/5, nearly five seconds off the track record of 1:46 2/5 set by Jumping Hill. The 4-year-old bay gelding paid $5.00, $3.00 and $2.60.
