Nets Now Have New Concern for Richardson

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. —
Micheal Ray Richardson, who recently returned from drug rehabilitation, has raised concern among New Jersey Nets’ officials by failing to keep an appointment with a team doctor.
Richardson, whose next drug-related incident would give him a two-year suspension with no chance of appeal, called in sick for team practice Monday.
The Nets made a doctor’s appointment, but Richardson failed to show.
“We’re waiting to see what happens with Micheal Ray,” Net spokesman Jim Lampariello said.
