Leonard St. Clair, 69, Writer of Popular TV and Radio Series, Dies

Leonard St. Clair, an author who had his beginnings in radio and television, died Mondayat Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after a lengthy battle with heart and lung ailments.
St. Clair, 69, wrote for “The Mayor of the Town,” a popular radio series of the 1940s starring Lionel Barrymore, and on TV for “Four Star Playhouse.” His novels included “Obsessions,” “The SeadonFortune,” “The Emerald Trap” and “Fortune and Death.”
He is survived by his wife, Catherine.
