Driving Them Up the Wall

Your article about tailgating reminded me of how we solved that problem once.

We were driving a small car in England and the big lorries scared us to death, riding right on our rear bumper. Nothing seemed to make them back off until I took our camera, with a long, long lens, and pointed it out the back window, pretending to take a picture. That actually did it. I suppose the drivers thought we would report them to their employers. I know that wouldn’t work here, but I thought you might enjoy hearing about it.
