AIDS Hospice

Share

Hospice Organization of Southern California is pleased to learn of the decision of Archbishop Roger Mahony and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to explore the possibility of a hospice for AIDS patients.

Hospice care is available to anyone faced with life-threatening disease and is administered primarily in the home. Hospice offers symptom control, social, psychological and spiritual support to both the patient and their loved ones. Victims of AIDS are particularly in need because of their forced isolation and discrimination.

We commend and support the archbishop for taking this very important and supportive step. A hospice established by the archdiocese will assure the AIDS patients of dignity and quality of care.
