Glittering Winter Carnival Unfolds
“Winter Carnival,” the Grand Pageant of the Masked Ball chapter of the Orange County Performing Arts Center, took place Saturday night in the Grand Ballroom of the Disneyland Hotel.
The event was attended by more than 400 and raised $15,000 for the Center.
Ice Queen of the Carnival was Ginny Grant of Anaheim. King Rex II, Wizard of Winter, was unmasked at the ball: He was Mike Trujillo of Garden Grove. Among the characters making up the royal court were the Czarina of Russia, Hans Brinker and Frosty the Snow Man.
Centerpieces featured animated ice-skating snow bears.
