Culver Asks Funds for Improvements and the Disabled

Share

The Culver City council has applied for $261,309 in Community Development Block Grant funds to make street and storm drain improvements, install about 100 wheelchair ramps and continue funding for the position of coordinator of services to the disabled.

The council also appropriated $65,000 for the Culver City Tournament of Roses Assn. for construction of next year’s float. The association must try, but is not bound, to reimburse the city for half of the allocation.

Last year the city gave $55,000 to the association for its 1986 float; $22,500 has been paid back. March 31 is the cutoff date for paying off the loan.
