College Baseball : Six Runs in 7th Pace Titans Over California
Ken Garcia capped a six-run seventh inning with a two-run single to lead 10th-ranked Cal State Fullerton to an 8-1 victory over No. 8 California in non-conference baseball action at Titan Field Friday night.
Mike Harkey (2-1) went all the way and struck out 11 for Fullerton (7-2). Mike Garman hit a solo homer in the eighth inning for the Titans. The Bears dropped to 9-2.

Cal Poly Pomona 6, UC Irvine 5--Two Anteater errors opened the way for three-first inning runs as Pomona won its first game of the season against seven losses and a tie.
Grand Canyon 11, Southern California College 5--Brad Wellema was 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs to lead the Antelopes (6-1)) past the Vanguards (4-1) at Brazell Field in Phoenix.

Saddleback 4, Long Beach City 0--Bill Dodd pitched a four-hitter in a route-going performance for the Gauchos.
Cypress 8, San Diego City 7--The undefeated Chargers (7-0) came back after trailing, 7-3, in the non-conference game at Cypress.
Allan Hancock 14, Golden West 7--Bill Oakley was 3 for 4 with two doubles and 4 RBIs to lead the Bulldogs (1-0) past the Rustlers at Golden West.
Los Angeles Pierce 6-1, Fullerton 2-11--The Hornets (1-3) won the second game on a three-hitter by sophomore right-hander Gary Stotereau (1-0).
Orange Coast 10, Bakersfield 1--Winning pitcher Sam August went 8 innings in the non-conference game at Bakersfield and allowed 1 run on 4 hits and 6 walks. He struck out 14.
