UC Irvine Loses Swimming Finale
UC Irvine freshman Brian Pajer set two school swimming records but the Anteaters lost to Pepperdine, 89-44, Saturday at Irvine’s Crawford Pool in the regular-season finale for both teams.
Pajer set his first record in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 58.17. He broke his own record in the 200-meter breaststroke with a time of 2:06.66. John Abele won the one- and three-meter diving events for the Waves.
The teams compete next in the Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. Championships March 6-8 in Cerritos.
