Two familiar faces are heading back to weekly TV: Valerie Harper and Jack Klugman. Both are starring in new NBC comedies that will be introduced this week before moving into their regular time slots next week.
Klugman stars in “You Again,” playing a man whose solitary life is disrupted when his 17-year-old son (John Stamos) decides to move in with him. The series gets a special send-off Thursday at 8:30 p.m. behind “The Cosby Show,” then will be seen Mondays at 8 p.m.
In “Valerie,” Harper is married, but her husband (Josh Taylor) is an airline pilot who is gone much of the time, leaving her to cope with a trio of teen-age sons (Jason Bateman, Danny Ponce and Jeremy Licht). After a “sneak preview” Saturday at 8:30 p.m., the show will be seen Mondays at 8:30 p.m., following Klugman’s new venture.
