Garden Grove : Staff to Detail Efforts to Aid Buena Clinton
- Share via
The city’s Human Services Commission will hear a city staff presentation Wednesday on efforts under way to improve Buena Clinton, an area considered to be the county’s worst slum.
The city wants to convert the most blighted part, 10 acres north of Keel Avenue, into an industrial area where some low-income tenants could be employed, Assistant City Manager Mike Fenderson said.
Plans also include forming an apartment owners association and strict enforcement of city building codes throughout the district, he said. The OASIS program, which works with neighborhood leaders to improve living conditions, will also be discussed.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. in the City Council chambers, 11300 Stanford Ave.
