Youth in Government: Thirty high school students will join county supervisors March 4 in a “Youth in County Government” program sponsored by the Irvine council of the League of United Latin American Citizens. The goal of the program, said LULAC officials, is to give students an understanding of the county government process and to have county officials explain opportunities for youths to participate in the political arena. The program will begin at the Hall of Administration at 9 a.m. A luncheon and awards ceremony will be held at noon.
