Fabius’ Wife in Nude Photos

French Prime Minister Laurent Fabius began legal proceedings today against the publication of nude photographs of his wife by an extreme right-wing periodical, his lawyer said.

Lawyer Mario Stasi asked a court in suburban Nanterre to order the seizure of all copies of the latest edition of the weekly Minute, scheduled to go on sale Friday. Stasi said publication of the photos of Francoise Fabius--a striking 39-year-old with long, dark hair--was a breach of privacy. The photographs were apparently taken during recent family holidays. A spokesman for Minute said the photographs showed the wife of the 39-year-old prime minister “stark naked.”
