Roosevelt Grandson to Run for House Seat

James Roosevelt Jr. launched his bid for the House on Tuesday, 53 years after the first inauguration of his grandfather, Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The 40-year-old counsel to the Democratic State Committee joins Joseph P. Kennedy III, son of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, in the crowded field seeking the seat being vacated by retiring House Speaker Thomas P. (Tip) O’Neill Jr.
