College Center Slates New Training Program
Unemployed county residents can apply for training in a new career through a federal program administered by Rancho Santiago College’s Language and Assessment Center in Santa Ana.
Eligibility for the free program is based on employment status and an evaluation from the state Employment Development Department.
The program, designed to help people who have been unemployed for a long time or those facing layoffs, offers training for such fields as accounting, secretarial, administrative and nursing, along with resume preparation and the development of interview and job-search skills.
For more information, call the college at (714) 667-3405 or visit the center north of the campus at Bristol and 17th streets.
