Poway
The Poway Unified School District and the union representing its 760 teachers have reached a tentative settlement on a new two-year pay increase, the union’s president said Thursday.
The agreement will give teachers with less than three years’ and more than 13 years’ service a 16.8% pay raise over two years, said Jim Dyer, president of the Poway Federation of Teachers. Teachers with three to 13 years of experience will receive a 13.8% raise, he said.
The salary increase covers the current school year and the next one, Dyer said. Teachers are scheduled to vote on the pact April 4.
