New Offices, Expansions : Diversified Equity Moves to Galleria
Diversified Equity Investments Inc. has relocated its corporate and partnership offices in San Diego from 835 5th Ave. to the Miramar Galleria at 7128 Miramar Road. Miramar Galleria is a 35,000-square-foot retail-and-office center completed by Diversified Equity Investments.
Law Firm
Memel, Jacobs, Pierno, Gersh & Ellsworth, currently in Century City, will move its law offices into more than 100,000 square feet in Cadillac Fairview’s 6500 Wilshire Building, under construction in the Mid-Wilshire area and due to be ready for the law firm’s occupancy next October. Jordan & Associates is consulting tenant developer for the law firm, and Walker & Associates is interior designer.
American Medical Optics
American Medical Optics, a manufacturer of medical devices for the eye, has relocated its Irvine headquarters, including corporate, manufacturing and research-and-development operations to its new facility at 9701 Jeronimo Road in the Irvine Spectrum, a business-and-technology center developed by the Irvine Co. American Medical Optics was at 1402 E. Alton Parkway.
The Promoters
The Promoters, a public relations and marketing firm specializing in the building industry and professional service firms, has relocated from Walnut to larger offices at 231 S. Grand St., Orange.
IRT Corporation
The Torrey Pines-based IRT Corp., which has outgrown its 2-year-old corporate headquarters, has signed a nine-year, $2.95-million lease for 15,314 square feet at Torrey Pines Science Park, a development of E. F. Hutton Life Insurance Co.
Foodmaker Inc.
Foodmaker Inc., the parent company of Jack in the Box restaurants, has leased 94,000 square feet of building space at 5349 Zambrano St., City of Commerce, in Trammell Crow Co.’s Commerce Distribution Center, for its new Southern California distribution center.
The 10-year lease, negotiated by Merrill Lynch Commercial Real Estate and by Theodore B. Hannon, is valued at $4.8 million, plus improvements.
Architectural Firm
Fremer/Savel Associates Architects in Los Angeles has begun its third year with a move to the Comstock Building at 10351 Santa Monica Blvd., near Century City. The firm was at 1641 1/2 Westwood Blvd.
