An error by first baseman Von Hayes led to four unearned runs in the first inning for the Dodgers, who went on to beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 8-2, in exhibition baseball Tuesday.

With one out, Hayes dropped a throw from second baseman Juan Samuel to allow Steve Sax to reach base. Ken Landreaux followed with a single. After a wild pitch, Mike Marshall singled, Greg Brock doubled and Mike Scioscia doubled.

The Phillies got two runs in the first on RBI doubles by Samuel and Glenn Wilson.

The Dodgers scored another unearned run in the second, with Landreaux driving home the run with the second of his three singles.
