Great American First Savings Bank shareholders voted to merge the San Diego thrift with North Hollywood-based Los Angeles Federal Savings Bank, leaving federal regulatory approval as the only remaining barrier . . . Citgo Petroleum said it is cutting the price that it will pay for immediate delivery of the major grade of U.S. crude oil by $1 to $13 a barrel . . . MCI Telecommunications reported that it has cut prices for long-distance calls within California by an average of 8% as a result of a state PUC decision to lower access charges paid to local telephone companies.
