BARSTOW — Buoyed by an infusion of $60,000 in funds and filled with determination to continue their crusade, about 300 activists resumed the Great Peace March for Nuclear Disarmament today.
The column left a campsite here at 6:45 a.m. after a two-week delay in the cross-country trek, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said. Officers escorting the marchers counted 275 to 300 people beginning a planned 10-day hike to Las Vegas. The peace marchers hope to walk 2,235 miles to Washington.
