Texas Rangers knuckleballer Charlie Hough, who broke the little finger on his right hand, underwent surgery and was placed on the 21-day disabled list.
Hough had two screws and a pin implanted to hold the broken bones together. Hough injured the finger while shaking hands with a friend. He is expected to resume throwing in about 10 days.
