United States International University and Utah split a college baseball doubleheader Saturday on Players’ Field at USIU.

Rod Gust hit a two-run double to highlight a three-run sixth inning and give Utah a 4-2 win in the first game. After loading the bases, USIU starter Rian Long (3-8) was relieved by Corey Way, who gave up Gust’s double and allowed another run to score on a wild pitch.

Gust had two of Utah’s five hits. Curtis Carmen (2-0) threw a five-hitter and struck out five for the win.
