A San Diego businesswoman was shot to death in a morning attack at her Scripps Ranch home, police said. San Diego police found the body of Georgia Haggai, 42, on the living room floor just inside the front door. She had been shot in the head and chest. The shots apparently were fired through a locked screen door at the front of the house, homicide Lt. Phil Jarvis said. Neighbors called police after they heard screams and gunfire coming from the house, police spokesman Bill Robinson said. Witnesses also told police a man was seen running from the house shortly after the shots were fired.
