Jogger Hit by Car: A 34-year-old jogger was seriously injured Wednesday morning when he was struck by a car. California Highway Patrol Officer Tom Sollie said Jere G. Grams of Mission Viejo was hit on Alicia Parkway about 7 a.m. when, for unknown reasons, he ran into the street. Grams suffered a concussion, a compound fracture of his left leg and deep cuts on his head and scalp, Sollie said. Paramedics treated Grams and took him to Mission Community Hospital, where he was in serious but stable condition, a hospital spokeswoman said. The driver was not injured.
