False Bomb Reports Snarl Rush-Hour Traffic in N.Y.

NEW YORK —
Bomb scares on 5th Avenue and at the Port Authority bus terminal Thursday forced evacuations and snarled rush-hour traffic, but police said no explosives were found. Detective Pete Perrotta said that a suspicious package reported at the terminal was only luggage and a device found on a midtown trash can was not explosive.
