Panorama City Cyclist Dies in Crash With Car
A 21-year-old Panorama City man was killed when the motorcycle he was operating struck a center divider in Sepulveda and slid into the path of an oncoming car, Los Angeles police said Friday.
Robert T. Hauch was southbound on Hayvenhurst Street near Roscoe Boulevard about 10:30 p.m. Thursday when his cycle struck the raised median, knocked over a sign and veered into the path of a northbound car, said Officer Mike Mallett.
Hauch, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene of the accident.
Investigators questioned the driver of the car but did not issue a citation, Mallett said.
