Mario Andretti won the pole for today’s Dana 200 in record-setting time, and his son, Michael, also broke the record at Phoenix to set up a father-son start that is unprecedented in Indy Car history.
Andretti averaged 165.776 m.p.h., breaking the record of 161.885 set by Al Unser last year. Michael averaged 165.251.
