Friedman Has ‘Paid His Dues’
I don’t believe that anyone who knows or has worked with Terry Friedman will consider him a political opportunist, in a negative sense, now that he is running for the 43rd District Assembly seat currently held by Gray Davis.
After graduating from law school, I worked with Terry as a volunteer attorney at Bet Tzedek Legal Services. I found him to be hard-working, down to earth and dedicated to the kind of legal and social issues that affect the lives of the poor, the weak and the dispossessed.
Terry Friedman was able to gain immediate and widespread support for his candidacy not merely because he has paid his dues politically, but because he has paid his dues as a human being. He will make a fine public office holder. He has long been a public servant.
