Firebomb Hits Bus in Jerusalem; 9 Hurt
A firebomb was hurled at a bus on the northern edge of Jerusalem on Tuesday night, slightly injuring nine Jewish passengers, police said.
The bomb was thrown through a window as the bus passed through Neve Yaacov, a mixed Arab-Jewish neighborhood that has been a site of tension.
Police said they detained more than a dozen suspects.
Earlier, a bomb explosion in the northern Israeli town of Afula injured a soldier. Police said Arab guerrillas apparently were behind the bombing in the town, a scene of anti-Arab riots last year.
