FileNet Corp., a Costa Mesa-based maker of optical disks for document storage, has signed contracts with nine government agencies for installation of document storage systems. The company did not disclose details of the agreements, but FileNet’s system sells for an average of $500,000 per installation. FileNet had sales of $10 million in calendar year 1985 and sales of over $5 million during its first quarter of 1986, according to company President Ted Smith.
