Second Plea Made for Chana Perry
Northeast Louisiana University used its final appeal Tuesday in asking the NCAA to restore the eligibility of star center Chana Perry, who was punished along with the school’s women’s basketball program because of recruiting violations.

In January, the NCAA declared Perry ineligible and also ruled Northeast Louisiana ineligible for postseason play because of recruiting violations. Additionally, Coach Linda Harper was forbidden from recruiting off campus for at least one year.
