A judge in San Diego has dismissed a federal court lawsuit filed against the distributor of an Uzi semi-automatic rifle used in the killing of 21 people in July, 1984, at a McDonald’s restaurant in San Ysidro. The wrongful-death suit, filed on behalf of more than 20 heirs and survivors of the massacre, accused Action Arms Ltd. of Pennsylvania of product liability. James Huberty used the Uzi and other weapons to kill 21 people and wound 19 others before he was killed by a police sharpshooter.
