Laguna Beach : Public Opinion Sought on Health Care Ethics

Share

The California Health Decisions-Orange County Project is conducting a series of meetings to elicit public opinion on ethical issues in health care and then convey those findings to legislators and health care providers.

The seventh in a series of 12 such meetings will be held tonight to discuss how health care resources should be allocated, how life-prolonging technology should be applied and whether or not health care is an individual’s right.

Organized by the Orange County Health Planning Council and the Center for Bioethics at the St. Joseph Health System in Orange, the project has attracted more than 2,000 people in 180 small meetings since October.
