Panorama City Woman, 54, Held in Slaying of Spouse, 69
A Panorama City woman was arrested on suspicion of killing her 69-year-old husband in their apartment after an argument late Saturday, police said.
Marza McCarthy, 54, was arrested at the apartment, at 9010 Tobias Ave., shortly before midnight, Los Angeles Police Officer Gene Lemmond said. John R. McCarthy died of gunshot wounds to the upper body shortly after being transported to Panorama Community Hospital, Lemmond said.
The couple had “apparently been involved in a domestic dispute prior to the shooting,” Lemmond said.
