No Illegal Steroid Use Found in Investigation of Athletes at SDSU

An in-house police investigation into alleged steroid abuse on the San Diego State University men and women’s track and field teams has found no evidence of illegal activity, SDSU Athletic Director Fred Miller said.

“I talked to our campus security people, and they have found no criminal violations,” Miller said. “They do not intend to pursue it anymore, and we accept the report.”

Miller said he did not know when he would receive results from the retesting of 40 of the 80 SDSU track and field athletes. The retests were necessary because some of the urine specimens used for steroid and drug tests on March 28 were diluted.
