A university laboratory technician who collapsed into a coma at a friend’s house after taking two Extra Strength Tylenol capsules for a headache died of cyanide poisoning, a coroner said. Detectives said they have not ruled out the possibility that Sandie Lynn Gregory, 21, who was said to have been depressed and lonely, committed suicide. They noted that she had had access to cyanide at the veterinarian lab at Washington State University in Pullman where she worked. Tylenol capsules were taken out of production in February by its manufacturer, Johnson & Johnson, after a woman in New York died from a cyanide-laced capsule.
