Redondo Beach : Insurance Pool Approval
The City Council voted unanimously last week to approve in concept the city’s participation in a self-financed municipal liability insurance pool being set up by the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority.
Unlike numerous other cities interested in the pool, Redondo Beach has municipal liability insurance. City officials, however, complain that they pay too much for it, and they fear that the city’s carrier may drop Redondo Beach when the policy expires in October.
