Oakland A’s pitcher Moose Haas, the first five-game winner in the major leagues, said he wasn’t seeking revenge Thursday against his former teammates, the Milwaukee Brewers.

“They didn’t make me mad when they traded me,” Haas said after allowing six hits in eight innings as the A’s defeated the Brewers, 7-2. “Over here, I know I’m wanted.”

Haas said he “was looking forward” to facing the Brewers in Milwaukee County Stadium for the first time. “I didn’t know what to expect . . . It was kind of strange.”

Haas, 30, who played nine seasons with Milwaukee, was traded to the A’s during spring training for four minor leaguers. Now, the right-hander is 5-0.

Boston 12, Seattle 2--Wade Boggs went 3 for 5, drove in three runs and scored three times as the Red Sox routed the Mariners at Boston.

Boggs hit a two-run homer; Bill Buckner capped Boston’s five-run fourth inning with a two-run double, and Steve Lyons drove in two runs with a single and a triple as the Red Sox completed a sweep of a three-game series with the Mariners.

The loss was the sixth in a row for Seattle, while the victory extended Boston’s winning streak to four games.

Dennis (Oil Can) Boyd (2-2) gave up nine hits, walked one and struck out five while pitching his second complete game.

Minnesota 7, New York 4--Kirby Puckett hit a three-run homer, his major league-leading ninth of the season, and Steve Lombardozzi and Tim Laudner singled in runs in the sixth inning as the Twins broke a nine-game Yankee Stadium losing streak.
