Dodger Fans Keep Looking for Answers

Share

Over the last few years, I have heard the Dodger announcers say what a sweet swing Ken Landreaux has. As I begin to type this letter, Landreaux has just hit into a double play against the Braves.

The 1986 Elias Baseball Analyst shows that Landreaux hit .209 leading off an inning. He was most dangerous with the bases empty, batting .286. With runners on, Landreaux walloped the ball at a .241 clip, an excellent bowling average. With runners on in scoring position, Landreaux hit only .168.

Is it not time the Dodgers started looking for a new center fielder? Landreaux certainly does not mirror the Laker player who wore the same uniform number, 44. Didn’t they call him Mr. Clutch?
