Dave Johnston will meet Yohan Kim in a super featherweight title bout in the main event on a kick boxing card at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Reseda Country Club. Johnston (42-8) is the World champion in the division. Kim (12-0) is the North American champion. Seven other fights--three of which will be title fights--are scheduled on the first of a weekly kick boxing series at the Reseda club.

North American welterweight champion Ricky O’Kane (10-3) fights challenger Mike Hughes (15-2), and U.S. heavyweight champion Dan Nakaya Neilsen (12-6) faces Arizona state champion Dino Homsey (6-0).

In the final title fight, world lightweight champion Peter (Sugarfoot) Cunningham (28-1) fights Luis Tapia (12-2). Ticket information: (818) 780-6774.

Gary Davis, Cal Lutheran’s top golfer, suffered a broken ankle Wednesday and will miss Monday’s National Assn. of Intercollegiate Athletics District 3 championship against Point Loma. Davis apparently suffered the injury while swimming.

If Davis does not need surgery, he could be back for the NAIA national tournament in Alabama the first week of June should Cal Lutheran advance.
