“Beat the Devil.” RCA/Columbia. $59.95. Shot on the Italian Riviera and co-authored by director John Huston and Truman Capote, this literate 1954 spoof of the caper film flopped in first release despite the presence of Humphrey Bogart and Gina Lollobrigida (as man and wife), Robert Morley and Peter Lorre as chief villains and Jennifer Jones as a daffy blonde. But it’s now a cult classic--sly, funny, scenic, wickedly quotable, eventful, a treat to be cherished. It’s probably Morley’s funniest outing.
