CALIFORNIA - News from May 6, 1986
As expected, Richard A. Clarke, 55, has been elected chairman and chief executive of San Francisco-based Pacific Gas & Electric, succeeding Frederick W. Mielke Jr., who retired.
Replacing Clarke as president is George A. Maneatis, who had been executive vice president-facilities and resource development. Stanley T. Skinner, previously executive vice president and chief financial officer, becomes vice chairman. The management changes were first announced last October.
