San Marino : Official-English Petition

Share

Proponents of establishing English as the official language of San Marino have begun circulating petitions that would put the issue to voters. Kevin Forbes, leader of the movement, said he hopes to get the signatures of the required 10% of registered voters, approximately 1,350, by June 9, the city’s deadline for a ballot measure in the November election. City Clerk Stephanie Swarner said that in case of insufficient signatures, Forbes will have a longer period to collect signatures for a special election.
