An 18-year-old transient was arrested on suspicion of murder in the death of Marie Andrea Malmgreen, 38, wife of a Los Angeles police sergeant. Scott Michael Katzin was held in Fullerton City Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail after his arrest near the parking lot where Mrs. Malmgreen’s body was discovered in her 1981 Cadillac El Dorado on April 29. Fullerton Police Capt. Don Bankhead declined to discuss evidence linking Katzin to the crime, except to say that he had been living in various places in the vicinity of the parking lot.
