Swedlow Inc. said that the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington has granted its request for a speeded-up process in its appeal of the Federal Trade Commission’s suit to block a proposed merger with PPG Industries Inc. The court also delayed the implementation of the merger until the appeal is resolved. Under the Court of Appeals’ order, an oral argument of the Swedlow-PPG merger is to be heard in Washington on June 9.
