San Diego State finished second to Brigham Young in the Western Athletic Conference men’s track team championship Saturday in Provo, Utah.

The Aztecs won seven events to finish with 149 points. BYU had 187 points and Texas El Paso 118.

“We came in rested and positive about competing at this altitude,” SDSU Coach Dixon Farmer said. “The sprinters were fired up about keeping our six-year winning streak in the 4-by-100 relay going. They showed it by making it seven in a row and flexing their muscles in their individual events.”
