Church at La Quinta
I was pleased to read the Grimms’ article on La Quinta April 27, with the focus and photo of St. Francis of Assisi Church. The church is an ambitious project built upon the energies of its pastor, Father Peter Brennan, who helped create an organic edifice with ongoing artwork. Beyond the painted murals, marble and stained glass are the mosaic murals depicting saints and biblical scenes fabricated in Italian glass tesserae. The murals are my work, a liturgical artist and designer. The murals were completed nearly two years ago, with the prospect of continuation of mosaics for the main apse.
